Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist who has worked as a journalist for more than 45 years focusing on the people suffering from war zones and natural disasters. Curry has reported on wars around the globe, and has reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist, television anchor and news reporter who was best known for her job as a correspondent for the Today show, a news morning program aired by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry's work was noted for her reporting on humanitarian crises occurring in war-torn nations and natural disasters. Curry's Japanese-American mother and U.S. Navy-sailor dad were both prominent figures in her life. In the aftermath of World War II, her parents met when her father served in Japan. As a result of her father's military service, the family has moved around quite a lot. They eventually moved to Ashland Oregon where Curry attended high school. In 1978, she graduated at in the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. As a child she was exposed diverse kinds of cultures. The compassion she displays towards the world is likely due to her experience. Ann Curry has been a famous American journalist since the beginning of the 1990s. Curry traveled a lot along with her companion but she did not attend a school for longer than two full years. She attended schools located in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Ashland, Oregon is the location where Curry received her degree. Her first job could lead to a successful career by working as an intern in broadcasting for KTVL Channel 10 Medford. It was her first time as a female news correspondent at this station, at age 22. She then moved up to anchoring and reporting for KGW which is an affiliate of NBC in Portland. The following year, she relocated back to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. There were two Emmy Awards were won during her six year association with the KCBS-TV.
